Stroke #42
I dreamt a dream so impossible
that it shook the veined leafs
of the undying Cosmos
trapped souls
struck the bars to their cells
- it resonated in a threnody
and Penderecki stood proud.
Time moved in circles
as it always do
but the whiskers of the rabbit
split down the middle
no longer was God unforeseen
it came like the tide
and stayed like an idea.
I took off my head
and rested it in a well
and I understood
nakedly
that I was not afraid
of an idiom
- a visionary angel.
The bone china
of what once was
closed like an umbrella
folded like a an incomprehensible pamphlet
and the preconceived fallout
was merely a distinction between
fish and fishermen.
As the priests
went into occupational therapy
the money lenders
trialed men for writing poetry
and the animals
took off their animal suits
and they felt safer.
Cosmos contracts
ever so gently
and as I let myself fall
into it
there, are souls
that have broken out free
to raise me from my shallow grave.
